Who I am?
Hi, I’m Dawn Huang, founder and CEO of Chengdu Chihalo Technology Co., Ltd.
I started Chihalo in 2016 with a simple idea: industrial buyers shouldn’t have to pay dealer markups for equipment that comes from the same Chinese factories. Today, we ship laser cleaning machines to 30+ countries — directly from our factory in Chengdu, China.
My background is in engineering. I hold a Master of Science degree from The University of Hong Kong (HKU), and I’ve spent over 10 years working in industrial laser systems — from selecting optical components and laser sources to designing automated cleaning solutions for production lines.
I write the technical articles on this website to help buyers make informed decisions. No vague marketing claims. No fake “Top 10” lists. Just real specifications, real prices, and real data from a manufacturer who actually builds these machines.

I personally evaluate and select every laser source we use — Raycus, MAX, JPT, and IPG. I understand the performance differences at a component level, not just from spec sheets. When I write about "pulse vs CW," I'm drawing from thousands of hours of testing data in our own lab.
From handheld units to fully automated robotic cleaning cells, I've designed systems for applications ranging from shipyard rust removal to aerospace component preparation. This hands-on experience shapes every buying guide I write.
Chihalo supplies laser cleaning machines to European brands under OEM agreements — including equipment used by military contractors, government agencies, and university research labs. I understand both the manufacturing side and the end-user requirements.
Shipping 5,000+ machines to 45+ countries has given me deep insight into what buyers in different markets actually need. A US auto body shop has different requirements than a European shipyard or an African steel plant. My articles reflect these real-world differences.

Why I Write Differently
Most laser cleaning content online is written by marketing agencies who have never touched a laser. You can tell — they copy each other’s specs, use vague language like “contact us for pricing,” and list products they’ve never tested.
I write differently because I build these machines.
Every price I quote is a real factory price, not a “starting from” placeholder. Every cleaning speed I cite comes from our own testing lab. Every comparison I make between CW and pulse is backed by data from actual customer installations.
If I don’t know something, I say so. If a competitor’s product is better for a specific application, I’ll tell you that too. My goal is to help you make the right decision — even if that means buying from someone else.
